About :
The Zoo's mission is to instill passion for the natural world through education, recreation and conservation. The 20-acre site focuses on the animals and plants of Central and South America, with 249 animals representing 92 species, and an expansive plant collection. The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park opened in 1952. It is owned and operated by the City of Santa Ana, with operations and funding support by the "Friends of the Santa Ana Zoo" (FOSAZ) society. Click here for FOSAZ 2005 Event Calendar

Hours :
Monday - Friday : 10:00 am - 4:00 pm ( Grounds close at 5pm )
Saturday - Sunday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm ( Grounds close at 6pm )
The Zoo is open every day except Christmas Day, New Years Day, and the 4th Saturday in August.
