ZOOFARI 2005 – “Jammin’ in the Jungle”
On Saturday, August 27, the beating of drums will resound throughout
the Santa Ana Zoo as calls of the wild attract a new breed of
animal. Indescribable party animals and tropical Birds of Paradise
will descend upon fantastic festivities at the Zoo. This enchanted
evening will mark the wild 13th annual dinner and dance celebration,
Zoofari 2005, with a very appropriately named theme, “Jammin’ in
the Jungle.” The music starts at 5:30 PM as partygoers
begin to arrive in astonishing outfits worn only by jungle kings
and queens. The jammin’ continues as guests start sipping “Jungle
Juice” and participate in an amazing silent auction. As
the evening progresses through to midnight, fire jugglers, mystic
seers, and a unique tattoo artist will help to ensure that everyone
will have a mystical, magical, and musical time!
What kind of
self-respecting party animal wouldn’t want
to engage in this spectacular jammin’ event? Not only will
guests be guaranteed a tropical paradise experience, but they
will also be assisting in upgrading and expanding the Santa Ana
Zoo. Guests should come prepared for a divine event of dining
and dancing under the stars at the Santa Ana Zoo, with an open
bar compliments of “Vox Vodka” and a sit-down dinner
served by “Parties by Panache.” The Master of Ceremonies,
Chuck Dreyer, will keep the party jammin’ by conducting
a live auction and presenting the evening’s honorees: Cathy
and Curtis Farrell (President of Friends of the Santa Ana Zoo)
and Souri Amirani (Deputy City Engineer).
This year’s Zoofari
promises to be the best event ever, and with the generous support
of those in attendance, the Santa
Ana Zoo will provide an even better recreational and educational
facility for all of Orange County.
Come all of you party animals
and dance the evening away with Tom Thumb and the Hitchhikers.
Also, enjoy the opportunity for
photos with the Zoo’s exotic animals. Tickets for the event
are $150 per person and can be purchased by contacting the Friends
of the Santa Ana Zoo at (714) 953-8555 x. 13.
