Information
This historic home is open to the public for tours on the first
Saturday of each even month (February, April, June, August, October
and December) from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and at other times by appointment.
The house has been restored as if Dr. Willella Howe-Waffle was
still living and working there -- and includes many vintage furnishings
and medical furniture from the turn-of-the-century. The grounds
include an original carriage barn with a vintage horse-drawn
carriage. The twelve room home was built in 1889 and was the
Dr. Willella's home office. The house was moved to its present
location in 1974 and has been beautifully restored by craftspeople
and community volunteers. It is presently the house museum and
headquarters of the Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society.
